...People don't know what it means when they say "scarlet letter?"  Really?  I thought The Scarlet Letter was widely read in high school.  Did only the honors English students read it?  Am I missing something?

Also.. random poll!

Living across from a wooded area with high traffic, I've seen a lot of unnecessary roadkill, often right in front of my house, and sometimes killed in front of me :( Oh the poor bunnies.

It's heartbreaking. I always die a little inside when I see a critter on the side of the road.

I'm still trying to figure out how a crow could get hit by a car. I guess it was too slow to fly away.

Same, especially if it isn't dead. I've seen a few poor dying animals :(

We get a lot of crows... uh, eating other roadkill. I don't know if I've seen a crow hit, but I have seen birds.

Over here, the most common roadkill I see is definitely birds. Most commonly pidgeons, because pidgeons are idiots and fly into you out of nowhere!

Second is rabbits, but that's largely because I live in the country and wild rabbits are inescapably everywhere.

Despite pheasants being incredibly stupid, I've yet to see pheasant roadkill.
